Congratulations to the winners of the Club Championship week.  Doug Markovic was the winner in the A Strat, Sandra Mandelbaum in the B Strat and Joy Shapiro in the C Strat.

Saturday Afternoon, February 4th is an International Fund Game with hand analisys.

February 6th to 12th is Junior Fund Games.  All games are $1 extra, with the proceeds goint to fund the junior bridge players.

February 20th to 26th.  Canada Wide STAC.  You can Win Silver Points all week.  Extra $2.25 per game.

The Saturday afternoon pool game is going through a small change.  The optional pool is now $2 per person, and the club will add an extra $1 for every pool entry.  1st place gets 60% of the pool, 1st in flight B gets 30% and first in flight C gets 10%.

Bagels and Coffee and Bridge -- Sunday afternoons and Tuesday mornings include bagels and coffee for $7 members and $9 non-members.

2012 Memberships -- You can join now for $96 Regular Membership -- good for remainder of 2011 and 2012! ($80 for "long distance" players either Snowbirds or players from Mississauga, Newmarket, Oshawa etc.). Membership includes HST. Members receive discounts on cash prices and can buy tickets for additional discounts (see prices below), Free Plays for winning, free game birthday week and discounted entries for some special events.

LESSONS

Hazel's Monday morning lessons will be on Play of the Hand during January.

Steve Goldin will teach a refresher course Wednesday mornings. He will cover all aspects of the game with a new topic each week.

Beginner's Bridge Lessons !!!--Continue through November on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm. Hazel Wolpert will be the instructor. Please call for more information.Harold's Tuesday Supervised Intermediate Game -- Beginning May 10th the lesson will start at 6:45 and notes will be provided. (May's topic is Defense). The game will start at 7:15. Twenty hands will be played, 5 of which will be special hands illustrating that week's lesson and a complete analysis of these 5 hands will be provided after the game. The game will end by 10pm. Tell your friends and come out and play!!

Monday morning bridge lessons with Hazel -- Lessons are Monday mornings from 9:30 to 11:45. The cost is $10 per lesson.
